This course is designed to connect teachers to accessible, available content that can support each of the disciplines (physical science, life sciences, earth and space sciences, and engineering, technology, and application of science) within the Michigan K-5 science curriculum standards. Additionally, the content available through MeL gives teachers the resources to achieve many of the goals highlighted in the Essential Instructional Practices in Literacy. The ability to connect students to resources such as magazine articles, eBooks, interactive activities, images, maps, audio and video clips, and so much more is imperative to their academic success. With persistent links to these multi-media eResources, teachers can easily organize this content in their digital plan books and learning management systems such as Google Classroom and Schoology.
