Foundations of Math is a series of sessions, or courses, focused on mathematical content knowledge. It is appropriate for general and special educators and will support teachers in examining mathematical procedures from a conceptual standpoint and increasing sense making for learners who struggle with methods reliant on memorization or procedure. The EduPaths courses include: an introduction, a course for each of the components of number sense, one on lesson construction, and a final course covering assessment and data. This Quantity and Magnitude course provides a deeper understanding of how mathematics topics can be taught and connected to quantity. Foundations of Math Course 02 of 11
